We picked up our keys!

It has been a long and stressful journey but we have finally reached the end! We exchanged and completed on our flat purchase yesterday.  I still can’t believe it! 

Even though our flat was a new build which was ready to move in, it has taken seven months from making the offer to getting the keys. Our property purchase was also delayed due to COVID-19.  It even resulted in our mortgage offer expiring before we could exchange and complete. Luckily, the lender gave us a two-week extension!  It hasn’t been a straightforward process and I will tell you more about our journey in later posts!

We feel very lucky that we were able to progress our transaction during COVID-19 as we were moving into a vacant property. There’s been a lot of uncertainty and anxiety over the past few weeks and I wanted to wish those going through the homebuying process at the moment all the best!
